Talk overview
On the Edge of Change: The Next Era of Aesthetic Medicine is integrative.
As we mark 25 years of BCAM, aesthetic medicine finds itself at the edge of a profound shift. What began as a procedure-led specialty is evolving into something far more expansive, meaningful, and impactful. This talk explores why now-more than ever-we are entering an energetic and philosophical turning point in how aesthetics is delivered.
Drawing on over a decade of campaigning for a more integrated, health-led approach, Dr Mayoni will challenge clinicians to rethink their role. Aesthetic clinicians sit in a uniquely powerful position: we see our patients regularly, we build long-term relationships, and we are often the first to notice when something is off-physically, hormonally, metabolically, or emotionally especially as aesthetics measures visual biomarkers of ageing.
This session will explore how aesthetic medicine and health optimisation are no longer parallel paths, but converging ones. From preventative care and longevity to whole-person wellbeing, this is a call to action for clinicians to step into a broader, more purposeful role-one that doesn’t just change how patients look, but how they live.
The future of aesthetics isn’t coming. It’s already here-and we are perfectly placed to lead it.
