Talk Overview

The Management of Malar Oedema

Malar oedema is an extremely comment yet profoundly challenging aesthetic feature to understand and manage. This lecture will explore the underlying causes and how they can converge to cause this particular aesthetic problem.

This lecture will differentiate between confusing terms such as malar bags, malar oedema and festoons which are commonly misdiagnosed or incorrectly assigned diagnoses.

Daniel will be significantly focusing on the role of fillers in precipitating malar oedema and also how this can best be managed. Surgical options are also explored in detail along with evidence based approaches to a variety of treatments and outcomes which all aesthetic practitioners should be aware of.
